Ailean OnLine respects the privacy of your information. We cannot by law edit, sell, give away or in any other way, other than the stated purpose of the relevant page, use your personal information.

We, (Ailean Online and its subsidiaries) need the information requested at those areas on the web site, for several specific reasons:

1. When puchasing from an E-Commerce site, it is mandatory tp provide such detail as can verify the person making the purchase as legitimate.

2. As an anti fraud measure, goods cannot be sent to a different address than has been registered by the buyer with their credit card provider.

3. When responding to a request for information, some detail as to identification and method of reply is an obvious necessity.

4. When you actually purchase something, the information is transmitted (via encrypted links with high level, commercial grade SSL connectections). to Eway, the gateway provider, so that your financial details can be verified and the amount specified is transacted.

5. Other information such as your (or your ISP's) IP address is also validated as an anti fraud measure.

At any time, you may request that such information (ie your name and email address) that you have previously provided (as in a desire to receive newsletters; registering for a purchase etc) be expunged from all online areas of the site.

NOTE: The accounting software must retain your information so that I can comply with the laws on Taxation and valid record keeping, for the period mandated by the current Tax legislation [5 years ].
